In the past year, we have continued to cover government and politics with a healthy dose of skepticism. We broke big stories about a school superintendent's sexual harassment and conflict raging at the public defender's office.
In a weeklong series, we documented ways in which the Legislature has silenced opposition and left the public out of public policy decisions.
And more recently, we've explored concerns about a landfill fire in Galena and garnished wages for medical debt.
We have come so far since we launched, and we want to keep the momentum going.
